Renting Room by Room to Maximize Revenue - Shani Franklin, PadSplit
Shani Franklin is the National Growth & Partnership Manager for PadSplit, the country's largest co-living marketplace designed specifically for the workforce. Passionate about homelessness prevention and real estate investing, she works with investors to provide profitable and affordable housing across the country.
Prior to PadSplit, she spent seven years in tech working for CoStar Group, the world's leading provider of information and marketing solutions for the commercial Real Estate industry. During her time as a Client Relationship Manager and Advertising Executive, she consulted with local municipalities, developers, owners, investors as well as national brokerage firms on acquisitions, dispositions, lease-up strategies, and multi-million dollar investments. Before that, she worked as a Lending Operations Officer with Trust Bank for nine years building and executing strategic initiatives, and assisting clients with their lending needs.
Shani earned a bachelor's degree from Georgia State University, where she studied Public Policy & Management with a concentration in Urban Planning & Economic Development. She is dedicated to giving back to the community: she sits on the Advisory Board of the Gateway Center homeless shelter, sits on the Board of Directors for African American Real Estate Professionals (AAREP of Atlanta, is a Center for Leadership alum at the Urdan Land Institute and an active member of CREW Commercial Real Estate Women. Shani lives in Atlanta, CA with her husband and two children and enjoys traveling, cycling, and yoga in her spare time.
